Untitled document How does this work ? The principle behind the process is simple, and is based on the following question: it is possible to produce steam with compressed air? In fact, it is a matter of compressing the air so as to increase its temperature, and then injecting water, which becomes vaporized. Afterwards, one carries out the proper transformations to achieve hot air at the desired pressure and temperature. The VERDIVAP AIRSTEAM generator has two types of cylinders of different diameters. Atmospheric air is sucked in the bigger one, and then is it compressed in a chamber at a temperature and pressure level to allow the vaporisation of a given amount of water. This cylinder is above the smaller one; in which the compressed air is humidified then expanded to be brought back to the chosen temperature and pressure i.e. 100°. This is an ideal temperature for disinfection, high enough to be efficient and low enough to prevent the sterilisation of the soil. - Performed cycle • Atmospheric air is sucked in • Compressed at vaporization temperature (1) • Water injection (1bis) • Partial expansion with work at used temperature and pressure (2) • Exhaust and injection in the soil (3) Results : The pressure requested for the required temperature of 100º is achieved with no problem. The pressure is even 1-2 bars higher, which is ideal for homogeneous diffusion throughout the soil. Beyond its small size and its low weigh VERDIVAP AIRSTEAM generator produces hot humidified air directly on the working area, and more especially it permits inst adaptability to the operation being carried out, in particular the flow and the range of humidity can be regulated instantly in accordance with the state of the soil to be treated.
